On the "Home Assignment Trail"

My initial "arrival back in the US, get over jetlag, visit Mom, take a holiday to rest up" travels are over and I have arrived in upstate NY where I will spend the month of July with people from Camp of the Woods, Adirondack Bible Chapel and of course, my family members who either live in the area or who have come out specially so that we can be together.

I am looking forward to seeing you and hearing what God has been doing in your life, as well as sharing how He is working in mine.  These are exciting days.....we just need to keep our eyes on Him and watch to see His glory displayed.

If I have not been in touch with you and you are hoping for a visit or direct contact from me, please don't wait....I want to see you if I can!!

This is the path I am anticipating from approximately August 3 - September 11.  I will have lots of quality time with God, alone in the car....and hopefully great fellowship with all of my friends and family represented by the green flags!

Prayer Updates for Nancy Leet

Precept Taiwan

• Praise God for His provision of the 30 people needed to hold our official start-up meeting for the Official Precept Association.  Pray for our organizational meeting to be held this Saturday, 4/27.
• We have begun to see multiplication of leaders among those groups led by our leaders in training.  This is still a slow process, but we are very thankful for this evidence of growth.  Please continue to pray for us as we learn more and more how to offer the support that these new leaders need in order to continue to lead Bible studies and encourage others to lead as well.

TEAM Mission Family

• The TEAM mission family will be on the move this summer with three out of seven units on Home Assignment.  Pray for those of us traveling around, to have safety in traveling and to make the connections that God desires for us to make.  And pray for those remaining here, to not be overwhelmed with work because of our absence.
• Even though several missionaries will be away this summer, we are going to have a number of visitors who are coming to participate in the work with us.  Pray for Magdalene (6 months), Caitlin (2 weeks), Jenny (2 weeks), Jason (1 year)…all of whom will be relating to TEAM in one way or another for ministry purposes.

Trailblazer Camps

• As a result of some governmental changes related to the area where the camp is located, we are now required to make some major improvements to the camp facility in order to meet the fire safety code.  Please pray for this whole process to not be too distracting from the mission of the camp.
• Please pray for the preparations that are in process for the summer camping program.  Especially pray for the newly hired program staff person, who is learning everything about camp program from the ground up.

Personal

•  In just a little over one month’s time I will be arriving for my four month Home Assignment.  Please pray that I can efficiently complete what needs to be completed here before my departure (file local income tax, car inspection, health physical…) and for God’s appointments during that four-month period I am in the US.  I am really looking forward to my time with many of you and pray that it will be a time of mutual encouragement.
• Join me in asking for very specific direction from God concerning my specific ministry involvement once I return.

…but you shall cling to the Lord your God just as you have done to this day……be very careful, therefore, to love the Lord your God..   (Joshua 23:8, 11)

Precept Taiwan

• Please pray for the legal registration of Precept in Taiwan.  We are changing from an educational foundation registered under the city government to a registration as a national association.  For this process we need to recruit a membership with annual fee.  Pray that we can enlist the 30 people needed in time to hold our official start-up meeting and meet all of the government requirements.
• Keep asking God for His person to lead Precept Taiwan.  Also pray for the staff and the organization during this transitional time.  It is challenging for all of us.

TEAM Mission Family

• We have a young woman coming in June to work with the Kaohsiung Urban Poor Ministry Initiative for 6 months.  Pray for Magdalene as she finalizes her visa application, graduates from University and prepares to come to Taiwan.  We are asking for God’s clear direction for her future as well as a fruitful, growing  experience at this time. 
• Joseph Swanson is a young man who has served with us several summers and one full year in the past.  He recently completed studies at Dallas Seminary and is in the final stages of support raising and preparations to rejoin our team in Taiwan for the long term.  Join us in thanking God for Joseph and asking for God’s provision of everything he needs in order to return to Taiwan.

Trailblazer Camps

• Please pray for God to raise up a local believer who shares the Trailblazer vision of camp ministry as a tool for evangelism and discipleship training, who has a passion to join us as the leader of the ministry in Taiwan.
• Please pray for the promotional activities that will be taking place over the next couple months in preparation for the summer camping season.  These will include visits to churches, sharing the vision of the Trailblazer Camps ministry and especially encouraging churches to send their kids and their neighbors’ kids to camp.

Personal

• My Home Assignment is looming ahead of me….pray for God’s leading and direction for me to make His appointments during this time.  Pray that I would be well prepared to minister to those I meet during these months and that God’s purposes would be accomplished. 
• I had the opportunity to attend a house church meeting on Sunday and I sense a growing passion in my heart to incorporate our Precept Bible studies in a church planting effort.  Pray with me for an obedient heart and open doors to respond to God’s direction in this.

May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, so that by the power of the Holy Spirit, you may abound in hope.   (Romans 15:13)
